Cesar Millan - Pack Leader app
The Pack leader app was built to order for a multi-client team: Cesar Millan ( The Dog Whisperer ) , National Geographic, Fox Media Asia and Samsung as sponsors.
Using NEC technology, and Rush Digital we built an Android app that lets you face match, bark match and lifestyle match to find your perfect partner (of the dog flavour.
This was very much a labour of love Myself and Dave Munn nursed the whole project, from negotiating the initial licence deal to testing the tablet version. So far so good and looking forward to delivery of the iOS version later this year.
Amnesty International - Trial By Timeline
Amnesty International - Trial By Timeline
Inspired by the idea that many countries don't allow the basic freedoms many in NZ and other westernised countries are allowed, this campaign used a user's FB history to highlight how many laws we could be breaking just by living an apparently normal life. Relationship histories, social life, employment history and much more were broken down and referenced against a long list of 'crimes'.
This project involved a lot of research work, testing and clever thinking to allow volumes of people hit the site and its processing requirements simultaneously. The front end work was another piece of beautiful work brought to life in conjunction with the talents at Assembly and assorted Colenso team notably Adam Wood.
Trial by Timeline has won - amongst other awards - a Gold Cannes Lion / 2013.

Anchor brand website
To help launch their new high profile light-proof bottle, we produced a new brand website for Anchor, alongside a raft of other campaign materials. With a full product range and corporate information the site is built using HTML5 and is mobile optimised. Anchor.co.nz
Mountain Dew Beyond The Wall
How do you take Grafitti to the next level ? Go 3D. The digital part of the campaign for Mountain Dew saw us produce a website and 3d tool that let users make their own 3D graffitti and place it anywhere in the world using Google Maps. Another complicated build, this site was a massive learning curve for everyone involved as we effectively built a custom 3d animation tool integrated with Google. beyondthewall case study
Beer Binoculars
To promote a low alcohol Amstel beer we produced a Mobile app that uses face detection, a system of algorythms and the principles of the 'Golden Ratio' of symmetry to rate other people's beauty. Whilst the app was using a comical approach to indicating it might be time to have a low alcohol beer, the challenges in bringing the project to life, with both internal and external suppliers was challenging.
Mountain Dew Skate Pinball
To launch 3 new flavours Mountain Dew took skateboarding and pinball... and mashed them together to make a real life skate-able pinball machine. The physical build included a 360 'halo' camera rig that you could skate or jump into - with images relayed live to the website for skaters to share with their friends as well as video recordings of skaters' competition rides around the track. We faced huge challenges and ongoing work to keep all sides of the campaign working but thousands of kids enjoyed the park. Both went on to win international awards at Cannes as well as Axis in NZ.
Tip Top Scoop app
Creating an app for Tip Top ice cream brand. Including a dairy store finder and a flavour combination tool, the app let Tip Top open a mobile channel to their customers via mobile that didn't exist before.
